Vibrant Tube Watercolours

20 Jul

Wow!  We have just discovered watercolours in a tube!!!

Life changing?  Sure is!!

We’d already figured out how awful children’s watercolour sets are when I bought a more expensive set of palette watercolours at an art and craft store.  We thought THAT experience was exciting.

But NOW…we have experienced watercolours in a tube.

Part acrylic, part tube watercolours

The colours are absolutely delicious.  They are so vibrant that they just jump out and grab you.

My boys LOVED using them.  My “not-particularly-interested-in-art” boy sat for way longer than normal

and my “yippee-it’s-art-time” boy sat for an hour and a half working on his artwork!!

I had “planned” to read aloud to the boys as they painted but it was HARD!!  I just wanted to get a piece of paper and join them.  I sooooo wanted to.   If it wasn’t for the incredibly good story that we were reading I would have tossed it aside and done painting instead!

So if you are still using those ghastly children’s watercolour palettes, please stop.   There is an amazing world of vibrant colours that your children are missing.

They were on sale at Riot Art and Craft. There are all sorts of goodies there.
