School Year Preparations

21 Jan

The books are bound and sitting ready.

New Dailies and Fact books have been prepared.

This is Brayden’s new Dailies format (for term one)

and this is Ethan’s.

Their fact books are the same – a page of multiplication, alternated with a page of division.

Finally, this is my new diary for the year.

It’s just begging to be written in.

He who fails to plan, plans to fail…

So I better go and write up our weekly plan.

Wow, you have been busy! With the boy’s dailies, do you manually enter the sums into your Math Resource program or does it generate them for you?

It generates it for you. You just set the parameters, organise the layout and decide how many pages to print. It even prints each page with different figures for you. Love it!!! You can even have answer sheets if you want.

Your boys get easier daily sheets than mine! I have to keep mine occupied for quite some time though. I tend to do about 20-30 problems per page in varying formats. I particularly like the skip counting squares for my 2 younger ones. The older one gets the multiplication squares quite a bit.

I don’t bind mine like you do. I like to print out about 5 weeks’ worth at a time but leave them loosely bundled with paper clips. I will sometimes create a worksheet for their dailies with a particular focus if I see them having an issue with their regular maths program.

It must be wonderful to have everything printed and ready for the new school year. I hope it goes well.

    Best wishes
