Proof For Susan

22 Jul

Our dear friends, Miss Susan and her lovely girls, gave Brayden this Eiffel Tower puzzle for his birthday.

Brayden was delighted.  He LOVES puzzles.

Me, while very appreciative of the gift, was as fearful of it as a drum kit.  Puzzles give me hives and heartburn!  Eek.

Of course the first thing Brayden wanted to do was build his puzzle.

The most I would allow was looking at the pieces.  Hehehehe.  Hey, you think I’m not serious.

Brayden came back a few minutes later confident that he could build the puzzle without any help.

Hooray!  Celebrate!  Although a tad dubious.

So I left him to it, praying he wouldn’t need any assistance.

Surprisingly, my little up-and-coming engineer, did quite well.

He only needed me for a few fiddly bits that wouldn’t do what he wanted.

And in record time he had built the Eiffel Tower…well a smaller replica but no less fabulous

…okay well maybe a tad less awesome, but not by much.

So there you go Susan, proof that we actually did build it and I didn’t die in the experience, although I do still break out in a sweat at the thought of it.

PS.  We actually went back to the store to see if they had more of this type of puzzle.   (They didn’t.)  So I mustn’t have been entirely scarred for life by the experience…just close.

Good grief Tracey! Did you really think after all the science kits you’ve given those children that he wouldn’t be able to put the puzzle together??? Glad he had fun doing it, and playing with it when he finished!

It was a close call…for me. Brayden didn’t even raise a sweat!
