Reporting…Panic Stations

21 Jan

Now that the baby shower is over and done, I have to get stuck into my homeschool reporting.  It’s due in a week.  Yep, panic stations.  But even worse, I realised that I couldn’t report in what I wanted to report in.  I had to pick a different subject, I hadn’t already reported in – which left Art.  Yep, Art.  Do people really get ‘assessed’ in Art?  I’m sorry to any artists out there, but we pretty much do it for fun… and because we have to.  I’m not raising artists but here I am stuck reporting in it.

But first I needed some more samples, of the kind I can compare.  That’s the problem with reporting.  You can’t just pick any ole great samples.  They have to prove progress and have similar elements to compare and analyse.

So we got stuck into a painting of apples with shadow and lighting features.  Brayden joined us, even though I didn’t need his sample.  His report was sent in in December.

The final pieces look excellent.  We’re very pleased with them and I think I can use them for my report.

And Brayden just had a great time painting as he always does.

But now I need to get back to my report.  I can’t start planning out the school year until it’s done.

So much to do, so much to do…

I hope you get it all done. I like their paintings, very talented. 🙂
