A Book of Roman Myths

23 Jun

We’ve just finished reading “The Orchard Book of Roman Myths” and loved it.

There are stacks of Greek myth books, but not nearly as many quality Roman myth books for children, which is one of the reasons I quickly snapped up this book.

It’s a lovely glossy colour volume,

with a good collection of popular Roman myths.

We read it alongside, “The Aeneid for Boys and Girls” and found it a helpful (somewhat necessary) companion.

We also ‘met’ a new favourite character – Erysichthon.  His story was our favourite by far (although a smidge gruesome, which is probably why we liked it so much).

Check him out

and all his mates in “The Orchard Book of Roman Myths”.

We highly recommend it.
