My Favourite Part of a New School Year

12 Jan

I love the start of a new school year.

A time to start new things,

a time to rethink things,

and a time for new books to arrive.

I particularly love the new book part!!

This is what was on my doorstep this morning:

I love Book Depository!!

We got:

*A great looking book from the Citizen Kid range on “How to Build Your Own Country” for some civics reading

*A picture book called “The Lotus Seed” for our look at Vietnam

*Another title, “Water Buffalo Days” for our Vietnam unit

and finally

*”Hostage Lands” for our quick look at Roman Britain before we take off and head to Medieval Europe.

The hardest part of a new school year

is waiting for it to start

so we can dig into all the new books.

I’m going to order your How To Build Your Own Country – it looks like a fun geography book 🙂 I love start of new year, and start of new term as well.
