Not Normal

19 Mar

Life is not normal at the moment.

It’s all topsy turvy.

We do school from Friday through to Monday

and then, on Tuesday through Thursday,

I babysit my two year old niece,

take care of two family members

– their housework, cooking, shopping, doctors appointments and errands –

plus do various and numerous errands for my parents who are stuck in Melbourne,

after an unforeseen illness, which set off this course of events.

Last week, I did a full weekly grocery shop, three times, all on the same day, plus three hours of driving.

That’s just not normal.

Next week, I get to do the same thing again, with toddler in tow this time, and a ‘sit and wait your turn’ x-ray visit thrown in for good measure.

That’s really not normal.

Oh ‘Normal’, how I miss you.

Until then,

Where’s the chocolate?!!

🙂

Sounds exhausting. Coles or Woollies have home delivery: saves so much time and stress!

Ah yes but the elderly aren’t a fan. They like to be driven to the shops to hand pick their groceries. It’s their outing of the week. 🙂

That was Sarah in WA, not ‘Jim’! LOL Sorry for the confusion: must have changed it for anonymity at some stage.

So sorry to hear about all the troubles you’re going through 😦 I hope your parents come right quickly. Melbourne is a nice place to be stuck in tho’ 😉 Just keep up the chocolate with some ice-cream and lots of cups of tea and everything will be back to normal soon.

Oh Tracey I came past yours yesterday and actually thought I should drop some chocolate in for you and thought no I wouldn’t want to disturb you even though you are gracious and lovely – now reading this I know it must have been Holy Spirit and I discounted it 😦
